A little bit about me…

A little bit about me…

Hiya! First of all thank you for taking a little bit of time out of your day to visit my blog – it’s hugely appreciated. Blogging is something I’ve wanted to start doing for a very long time, but I never really knew what to write about, or more importantly, why anyone would want to listen to what I had to say. However, I recently decided to stop letting my insecurities hold me back, and start taking steps towards building the life I want (even if this does terrify me slightly).

So, why now? Well, to give you a bit of a back story, I’m a grammar school educated university drop-out (I know right, shock horror) but taking that plunge to leave further education was the first step towards me becoming the girl I want to be, and not leading the life my school teachers felt I should be striving for. In school I was always that kid that left everything to the last minute. The one that would turn up to their exam having started revision the night before, and by the time winter came around, I would be peeling back my curtains each morning with baited breath, praying to see that sweet, snowy blanket of goodness that would halt school life for just one blissful day. I hated education; but as a grammar school student you aren’t given many options when it comes to making decisions about your future. With my school it was never “do you want to go to uni?” but rather “so is it Russell Group universities you are aiming for? Or maybe you are thinking of going somewhere abroad?” Ultimately, I decided that I would just get a degree in the hopes that within three years I would be able to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and go from there. This resulted in a term of sheer and utter misery at a university I grew to despise, until one day I decided enough was enough. And now here I am!

Hopefully I haven’t bored you to death with my rambling, but that’s just a short snippet about my life so far and what lead me to wanting to pursue a blogging career. Who knows where this will take me, but I invite you to join me on my journey to discovering adulthood in the real world. I guess you could say this blog will fall under the ‘lifestyle’ category; documenting fun things I do, giving updates on my life, perhaps offering some advice here and there based on my own experiences (not that I would suggest ever taking my advice!!) and even sprinkling in some fashion and beauty posts every now and then. It’s a big, scary world out there so I want to bring you guys along with me on my adventures.

But as for right now, I’m just a waitress named Molly, and I’m perfectly okay with that.
